Musical Mutations: June 12 - 19

A fun-filled and education concert of humorous pieces and musical transformations. A violin concerto on guitar? One viola, four hands? A hip-hop quartet? Celebrate summer in the Rockies with a weekend at Beaver Creek filled with sunshine, on-mountain activities, and free concerts in the Plaza. Concerts will start at noon each day with two warm-up bands before a big name headliner. Bands to be determined and details will be provided soon. Salute to the 4th of July in Avon: July 3
Time: 5:00pm
The Town of Avon celebrates July 4 with the largest fireworks display in the Colorado Rockies. Over 10,000 shells explode in the sky above Avon during Colorado Rockies largest display that is choreographed to a musical score simulcast on local radio. The American National Bank's Salute to the 4th of July is held in Nottingham park, a few minutes' walk from the base of Beaver Creek, and is an evening-long affair featuring live entertainment, food stalls and family picnics, culminating with fireworks at 9:45pm.

Dunk-n-Dash Biathlon Series in Avon: July 11 - August 18
The Town of Avon presents the Dunk-N-Dash Biathlon Series. In this unique race, participants swim 1 or 2 laps around Nottingham Lake in Avon, followed by a 5km run around the lake on the bike path. Athletes can register for one event or for the entire series. Wetsuits are required for all swimmers and are available to rent on-site. The race starts and finishes at the Lake's pump-house. The route runs north around Nottingham Lake, follows the path to Avon Elementary, and turns onto the scenic river recreation path. At "Bob" the bridge, runners turn around and return on the same path, detouring to the south side of the Lake for the finish line.

Wine & Spirits Seminar: July 12 - 14

Join us for this monthly series of wine and spirits tastings, seminars, and dinners in Beaver Creek Village. All events are hosted by Anthony Dias Blue of Blue Lifestyle. Mr. Blue is recognized world wide as a leading good, wine, and travel expert. He is a published author, columnist, and TV/Radio personality. His company produces numerous food and wine events and competitions throughout the world. Lakeside Cinema in Avon: July 20 - August 17
Time: 8.30pm
Grab your friends and family and come out to Nottingham Park in Avon to enjoy free movies, outdoors on the big screen! The feature film will start after the sun goes down (around 8:30 pm). Come early to enjoy pre-movie activities such as a Scavenger Hunt, local bands, paddle-boating or bring a picnic. Seating is on the grass field so bring a lawn chair or blanket and sit back, relax and enjoy!

Beaver Creek Colorado-Eagle River Ride: July 29
Location: Beaver Creek Village, Beaver Creek Mountain
Colorado-Eagle River Ride is a one-day, 100-mile, 100-km or 45-mile bicycle ride looping from Beaver Creek to Wolcott up U.S. Highway 131 to Colorado River Road down to Dotsero and back to Beaver Creek. Afterwards, join us for a post-race party at the Beaver Creek Chophouse. Why Ride? The Beaver Creek Colorado-Eagle River Ride is an important fund-raiser for the nonprofit organization, Snowboard Outreach Society, or SOS. Participants may register online at www.active.com

Mountain Challenge Bike Series- BC Blast: August 8

Part of the Town of Vail Recreation District summer MTB race series. The BC Blast is the final event in the circuit and promises to test competitors climbing skills. Gore-Tex Transrockies Run: September 16 - 21
Location: Beaver Creek Mountain
The inaugural Transrockies Run comes to Beaver Creek September 16, 2007. Modeled after the prestigious Transalpine Run in Europe, this one of a kind running race features 125 miles of trail running, beginning in Beaver Creek, Colorado and ending 6 days later in Aspen, Colorado. Teams of two will eat, sleep, and compete together as they cross some of the most spectacular terrain in North America, while being fully supported from a dedicated and professional event team who will look after their food, accommodations, and on-course support.
