King of the Mountain Volleyball: June 15 - 17
The 35th Annual VAIL 'KING OF THE MOUNTAIN' OPEN returns to Vail June 15-17, 2007 - a family event for young and old alike, this event is
the oldest consecutive running volleyball tournament in Colorado!
Location: Vail Valley Athletic Field
Divisions: Men's Masters (35-over) and Men's Seniors (45-over) - (sand courts)
Men's and Women's Open (sand courts); Men's A, BB, B (grass courts); Women's A, BB (grass courts); Co-ed (traditional, not reverse) A, BB (grass courts); Boys and Girls Juniors 18s, 16s, 14s divisions (grass courts); Father/Son and Father/Daughter (children must be 18 or under).*
*(pools will be organized by the child's age when possible)

Vail Lacrosse Shootout: June 27 - July 4
Teams from all over the country return to Vail for the 35 annual invitational tournament.

Vail America Days: July 4
Why not celebrate the birth of American in one of the finest locations in the United States? Every city and town has their special celebrations, but Vail America Days can outdo them all. The celebration starts with a red, white, and blue parade that winds its way through Vail Village and Lionshead. That is followed by an All-American picnic and free music at the Ford Park all afternoon and into the evening. Top the celebration off by viewing the fabulous Vail America Days fireworks which take place in Lionshead at approximately 9:45 p.m.

Triple ByPass Bicycle Tour: July 14
The 19th Annual Triple Bypass Bicycle Tour is a one-day, 120 mile road bike tour beginning in Evergreen, CO and traveling over Squaw Pass, Loveland Pass and Vail Pass.

Courage Classic: July 21
When you ride The Children's Hospital Courage Classic or Taste of Courage, you're setting yourself up for adventures ... of the body, the spirit and the heart. You will test your physical endurance as you ride 157 miles through the glorious Colorado Rockies over three days, push yourself up Vail Pass, glide down the bike path from Copper Mountain to Dillon, climb up Fremont Pass and cross the finish line on Monday.
You will see what your spirit is made of as you try for your personal best—whether that is simply getting on your bike and riding for the first time in years or riding 100 miles on Sunday.

Bravo! Music Festival: June 24 - August 2
The glorious sounds of orchestral and chamber music will once again fill the air of the majestic Rocky Mountains June 24 through August 2, 2007. Celebrating 20 years, Bravo brings to the Vail Valley over 40 acclaimed soloists, ensembles and three outstanding resident orchestras - the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, The Philadelphia Orchestra and the New York Philharmonic.

Vail International Dance Festival: July 29 - August 12
Since 1989, the Vail International Dance Festival has featured some of the greatest dance artists from around the world in seasonal classics, contemporary masterpieces and world premieres. First introduced as an intensive dance workshop presented by the Bolshoi Ballet, the festival has evolved into one of the world’s most treasured and eagerly anticipated summer dance events.

Hot Summer Nights Free Concerts: Tuesdays: June 19 - August 21
The Bud Light Hot Summer Nights free concert series is back with sun, fun and of course, incredible music! Ford Amphitheatre is the destination for visitors and locals alike every Tuesday night from June through August, as Hot Summer Nights is the social event of the season. Bud Light Hot Summer Nights is a project of the Vail Valley Foundation.

Vail Farmers Market: Sundays: June 17 - September 16
The Vail Farmers' Market & Art Show is much more than a farmers' market. The Vail Market is a terrific weekly festival with fresh Colorado farm and gourmet food products, multiple live entertainment venues, delicious snacks, Colorado wines, pony rides, railroad train rides, face painting, free balloons, local arts & crafts, flowers and much more. There will be over 100 tents each week. Join us in Vail Village every Sunday. This is the largest farmers' market in Colorado. Free Parking.

Vail Jazz Festival: August 31 - September 3
Join the 13th Annual Vail Jazz Festival's Labor Day Weekend Party!
This internationally recognized event features the world's greatest jazz musicians in over twenty-four hours of music over Labor Day Weekend. Hosted at the Vail Cascade Resort and Spa, the Labor Day Weekend Party brings together the best jazz musicians in an intimate, cabaret-style setting for a blend of jazz music not found anywhere else!

Vail Oktoberfest: September 7-9 & 14-16
Raise your steins and toast the 2007 Vail Oktoberfest, the weekends of September 7-9 and 14-16. Emulating one of the largest celebrations in the world, enjoy two full weekends of oom pah parties, bratwurst, Erdinger and Veltins German Beers, and traditional dance demonstrations in Lionshead and Vail Village.

Colorado Cyclist Copper Triangle: August 4
The famous Copper Triangle has long been considered one of Colorado’s classic alpine road rides. Graced with breathtaking scenery, gorgeous roads and three challenging climbs, the Copper Triangle exemplifies cycling in the Colorado Rockies. The Colorado Cyclist Copper Triangle Alpine Classic will be held on August 4, 2007 as an impeccably supported ride. It will offer both recreational and competitive cyclists the opportunity to participate in a challenging and meticulously supported organized ride.

Vail Arts Festival: August 10 - 12
The Vail Arts Festival is a three-day outdoor festival featuring 120 artists from across the United States selling art in eleven different mediums. Beginning August 10, visual and performing arts will be featured throughout the weekend in Lionshead Village. The event is free and open to the public. The Vail Arts festival features gallery class arts and exquisite custom jewelry in beautiful Vail Village. Shop for lifelong memory in a relaxing ambiance or just browse for ideas. For an even closer look at Vail’s arts, join a guided art walk through many of Vail’s finest galleries.

Rubber Duck Race: August 19
The Vail Rotary’s Rubber Duck Race is held annually in Vail Village. Rotarians sell sponsorships and “duck adoption papers” during the weeks prior to the race. On race day, about 10,000 yellow rubber ducks are dumped into Gore Creek near the Covered Bridge and “race” down the river to the finish line underneath the International Bridge. Prizes are given to those holding the adoption papers for the winning racers. This has become a hugely popular event for locals and visitors alike.

Circus Chimera: August 31 - September 3
Circus Chimera is a unique, theatrical-style circus that celebrates the Circus Arts while retaining the traditions of the traveling tent. The intimate one ring setting under our 60 foot high Big Top provides children and families up-close and personal exposure to the stunning human endurance and ingenuity that define the genre.

Vail Home Tour: September 16
The 36th Annual Tour of six exclusive homes. The Tour is from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Sunday, September 16, 2007. Ticket includes tour of homes and luncheon. The Home Tour is scheduled in September to coincide with the spectacular fall colors of the Rocky Mountains. Proceeds from
the Home Tour help fund need-based scholarships for students at Vail Mountain School. In the current school year, 30% of the 350 students enrolled at VMS are receiving a portion of the financial aid budget.

Gourmet on Gore: September 1 - 2
Experience the 2nd annual Gourmet on Gore September 1-2 when Vail is at its glorious fall best. Vail Village is the perfect setting for this high-end festival showcasing the world’s premier wines and tempting the senses with the best food Vail has to offer. Attendees may also relax to some of the best jazz sounds while roaming the open-air, intimate venue.

Vail Harvest Festival: September 22 - 23
Building on the enormous success of the Vail Farmers’ Market, the Harvest Festival will be a two-and-half day family-oriented event, focusing on Colorado produce, Colorado wine, Colorado beers and mountain bluegrass music. Events will include music, dancing, games, food, beer & wine sampling, etc.

Ski Swap: October 26-27
Ski & Snowboard Club Vail’s Annual Ski & Snowboard Swap is the largest of its kind in Colorado. Held annually on the last weekend of October, shoppers travel from all corners of the state to choose from literally thousands of great new and used items. Shoppers can find everything from alpine, telemark or nordic skis, snowboards, boots, goggles, poles, gloves, jackets, and many more great winter sports items! Held at Dobson Ice Arena in Vail’s Lionshead Village; the Swap is the best place to find everything you need to gear up for the upcoming season! Over 35 vendors will bring their best selection of new and used items. In addition, the general public is welcome to sell any unwanted items.
